Using Comic Life create a current event cartoon. Resources: News site of your choice 1. Divide students into groups of 2 per group 2. Have groups find current and relevant news event.
3. Groups design and plan cartoon
4. Have students draw cartoon on promethean board. Save flipchart.
5. Import Prometean drawn cartoon into Comic Life. Use Comic Life Software to create a cartoon captions and effects.
6. Students need to present Cartoon to class and explain cartoon.

Written: Mrs. A. Cute is teaching her high school Alg. 1 class how to interpret data and use linear regression to make appropriate predictions using their data. (Algebra 1 NCSCOS Competency Goal 3) After using data that she provided to make predictions, she wants her class to gather data themselves and analyze it using an approriate regression model. To make this assignment relevant, she expects students to work in collaborative groups to determine what they would like to investigate, to gather their own data, brainstorm the possible predictions using their data, and reach consensus on how to display and present their results.
